

Rebecca Ingalls, Ph.D., MSN, CNM, CRNP, is a certified nurse-midwife and nurse practitioner working at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania. Before becoming a CNM and CRNP, Rebecca earned her Ph.D. in English and Education from the University of Michigan and served for many years as an English professor and researcher specializing in composition and rhetoric. Called toward midwifery, Rebecca resigned from her tenured professorship in 2014, and earned her BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout her time as a midwifery student and now as a new practitioner, Rebecca has served with the PA ACNM as an editor of the quarterly newsletter, member of the legislative committee and the Midwifery Forward planning committee, and as chair (now co-chair) of the Students and New Midwives Committee. She lives in Philadelphia with her partner, her two children, and their two Guinea pigs, Luna and Pumpkin.
